A DELIBERATE fire at a mosque is being treated as a hate crime by police.
Officers attended Al Falah Braintree Islamic Centre in Silks Way, Braintree, during the early hours of Sunday morning following reports of a fire.
Two men had kicked the door of the mosque and also set fire to rubbish bags which were thrown onto the roof during the incident which took place at around 2.30am.
Police and Essex County Fire and Rescue Service attended and this deliberate attack is being treated as a hate crime.
