SCHOOLS and workplaces are being encouraged to sign up and help put a stop to racism in the UK.

National charity Show Racism the Red Card wants people to wear red on Friday to help raise awareness as well as vital funds to help stop young people in Britain being racially abused.

The charity believe that education is the key, and £50 will provide a full day of training on the issue for a teacher.

Ken Breach,worked with a Beckers Green Primary School in Braintree, to create a special banner for a workplace event at OCS near Heathrow.

He said: "I wanted to thank the children from the school who made the banner for us."

The charity is on the lookout for pictures and updates of everything going on during Red Day and people can use the hashtag #WRD15 to get involved.
