CARERS have shaved their heads in honour of a colleague diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Yasmin Gray and Dawn Potter from St Mary’s Court Care Home in Deanery Hill, Braintree, have braved the shave for Macmillan Cancer Support.
After colleague Yvonne Carter, Vonnie, was diagnosed with terminal cancer last year the pair decided they wanted to do something to support the research into finding a cure for the disease.
Miss Gray, 24, said: “People don’t think I’ll go through with it, but my family have been really supportive and my mum’s coming down today.”
So far the pair have raised more than £1,000. Visit bravetheshave.org.uk/shavers/yasmin-gray
