MEMBERS of Braintree's Tabor Centre got together at a special party to celebrate the Queen's birthday.
The centre, which is based on Bocking Place, held a special event on June 10.
The members had created a giant card to send to Her Majesty, with individual messages that they wanted to pass on to Buckingham Palace to congratulate the Queen on her 90th birthday.
There was also a tea party and games with prizes being given to the winners.
Anthea Cooper, who has been manager of the centre for 20 years, said: "One of our core objectives is to ensure the basic Tabor Centre ethos of being a place where all members are equal and encouraged to fulfil their potential to the best of their ability.
"Being able to try something new while being supported in a safe and secure environment is paramount to the work we do.
"Mostly we have fun and much laughter with friends."
The Tabor Centre provides respite care for disabled adults in the area - it has been set up as a charitable trust since 1990.
