A NEW road could be built to end traffic misery for workers on an industrial estate where a new school has opened.
Business owners on the Springwood Industrial Estate in Braintree fear hour-long queues to get in and out of the estate will become even worse after the new Edith Borthwick School opened last week.
There is only one access road to the estate from the Pod’s Brook Road roundabout, meaning hundreds of employees and business owners must slowly file in and out each day.
Essex County Council is looking at ways to improve traffic flow in the area, including building a link road to Panfield Lane over the route of a footpath.
See this week's Braintree and Witham Times for the full story.
