A Witham man in his 50s has been taken to hospital after he collapsed and fell unconscious this morning.
The ambulance service were called to an address in Maldon Road at 9.55am today after the man had fallen unconscious but was still breathing.
An ambulance crew, two rapid response vehicles and the Essex Air Ambulance attended the scene.
The man was treated at the scene and was taken to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford for further treatment.
He is thought to be in a serious condition.
