Students raised nearly £600 during a special fundraising week for a cancer charity.
Pupils at New Rickstones Academy in Witham raised the cash for the Teenage Cancer Trust in March and handed over the cheque last week.
During charity week students purchased wrist bands and pin badges.
The academy also held a non-uniform day to raise money, with students and staff wearing red and blue to represent the charity’s colours.
Assemblies were held to increase awareness of the work of the charity and teach students more about the signs and symptoms of cancer.
