Burglars broke into and stole £300 from an animal rescue centre.
The reception and the offices at Danaher Animal Home RSPCA in Wethersfield were broken into.
Thieves got into the safe and stole about £300 in cash.
The charity posted the following statement on social media, saying: "We are sad to inform you that we were broken into.
"The animals are all safe and well thankfully.
"We are all very sad this has happened.
"It makes me feel sick that there are people out there who would steal from a charity.
"Thank you all for your support as always.
"We are overwhelmed by your support and kind words."
