A model railway exhibition will be held in a restored railway carriage on Bank Holiday Monday.
The event will take place at Rayne Station, in Rayne, where the carriage sits on the old railway line, and in the adjacent Scout Hall.
Model railway layouts of a variety of gauges will be on display from clubs including Braintree and District and Chelmsford.
A steam powered model locomotive will also be on show.
Other attractions outside the hall will include vintage vehicles and radio controlled model vehicles.
Talks on the history of the former branch line will be given by historian Sam Marriage inside the carriage during the morning and afternoon.
The event is being held to raise funds for the Friends of the Flitch Way charity and will run from 10am until 4.30pm.
Refreshments will be available from the Booking Hall café, located in the station.
