A Braintree man has denied taking part in a burglary spree which saw nine homes targeted in just three days.
Robbie Greer, 23, of Church Lane, is set to stand trial alongside Adam Watts, 21, of Military Road, Colchester.
The pair are accused of breaking into homes in Colchester between February 10 and 13 this year, and stealing iPads, laptops, cash and other items, including military memorabilia.
Greer, who laughed and joked throughout the short hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday, denied eight counts of burglary, two counts of attempted burglary and seven counts of handling stolen goods.
Watts admitted a separate charge of burglary that took place in January, denied eight, and also admitted eight charges of handling stolen goods.
The court heard that two World War Two pistols were among the items the men are accused of handling.
The men were remanded in custody until the trial, which is due to begin after July 20.
