Science came to life for youngsters at a Braintree Museum event.
Organised as part of Science Week, the museum had a display by the local rock and minerals group, as well as company Science Boffins doing shows and hosting an experiment table, among other activities.
Children had a great time making slime, studying rocks and having fun with balloons throughout the day on Saturday.
Collections and interpretations officer Jennifer Brown said: “We had about 100 visitors, so about 50 children came along.
“They all seemed to really enjoy themselves.
“We first did something for science week at the museum last year, and we are definitely hoping to do it again.”
