A campaign aiming to get more businesses taking on apprentices in the district has begun.
The 30 in 30 event, launched at The Oaklands Inn, Notley Green last Thursday, aims to secure pledges from local firms that they are interested in taking on apprentices.
It is hoped 30 apprenticeship vacancies will be filled within 30 days - a similar venture in Colchester achieved 100 pledges in 100 days.
Braintree’s scheme is a joint venture between Braintree Council and the Colchester Institute and would see youngsters spending some days studying and some in a workplace.
