A landlord claims a scheme where suspected yobs are banned from Braintree town centre pubs will only work if venues can display their mugs in public.
The Behave or Be Banned (BOBB) pubwatch group, which is trying to eradicate booze-fuelled violence after a spate of violent attacks, has this week banned two men for criminal damage and violent behaviour.
A further four men were barred in November.
The ban is enforced by landlords, who keep a picture of the banned person behind in a private area of the pub and ask them to leave if they are spotted.
But some publicans have said trying to spot punters in a busy pub who may have been banned two years ago is “ridiculous”.
