An inquest has been opened into the death of the Witham man who died after being hit by a train.
Roy Papworth, who was better known as William, of Braintree Road, Witham, was struck by a train at Kelvedon Station on Wednesday.
It was alleged the 36-year-old had jumped in front of the moving train at today's inquest opening at Chelmsford's Coroner's Court.
He died from multiple injuries after being hit by the 9.30am Ipswich to London Liverpool Street service.
The full inquest has been scheduled for February 25.
