The story of how a couple ploughed hundreds of thousands pounds into turning a derelict schoolhouse into a dream home will feature on television.
Architect George Clarke met Jim and Bee Goody for the new series of The Restoration Man, in which he meets people who transform neglected historic buildings.
Jim, a builder, viewed the Old School House in Great Braxted without his wife's knowledge in September 2012 and arranged to buy it three days later.
They managed to make it wind and water tight by January this year and moved in at the end of October.
The episode is due to air on Channel Four on January 14.
