A stretch of the A12 has reopened after a ten hour closure caused by a lorry crashing into a bridge.
Police were called shortly after 8pm on Friday to reports that a blue lorry had struck the bridge on the northbound track of the A12 at Junction 21 near Witham.
The driver of the lorry sustained minor injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene.
However, a road closure was put in place from the bridge on the northbound carriageway while recovery took place and debris was cleared.
The road reopened at about 6am on Saturday.
