Spooky activities across Braintree will be guaranteed to keep all the children entertained.

The children’s Halloween trick or treat show Hocky Pocus is being performed in Bocking Arts Theatre.

Meet Scabby, Spotty and Warty - three witches who wake up one morning to find that their magical powers have mysteriously disappeared. When a young man claiming to be the great wizard Merlin turns up, an adventure of magic, mischief and mayhem begins.

There are two shows next Friday at 11am and 2pm, with tickets priced at £5.50 and available from wegottickets.com/thebocking.

Blake House Craft Centre, is also holding two days of spooktacular fun.

There will be a pumpkin hunt, a colouring competition, spooky storytelling, hook a duck and biscuit decorating, next Thursday and Friday from 11am until 5pm on both days with free admittance but a charge for individual activities.

George Yard is holding art workshops, including face painters and spooky mask making. All are free of charge and there is no need to book.

The Fableists Store, Church Street, Coggeshall, is holding a different Halloween craft everyday from 10am until 3pm during half term.

Crafts include making a stained glass pumpkin, making a ghost finger puppet and making a skeleton or pumpkin balloon.

Spaces are on a first come first served basis and activities will only run while supplies last.

Participation is free - donations to charity welcome - and parents must accompany children.
