A retired businessman and a care home worker have released a song to raise funds for a little girl who suffers from a rare form of cancer.

John Hawkins, of Kenworthy Road in Braintree, is neighbours with Sienna Riley, three, and her parents Darren and Emma.

Sienna has battled the aggressive child cancer neuroblastoma for the past two years and is undergoing treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

However, friends and family have been building an emergency fund to take her abroad for treatment if necessary.

Mr Hawkins said: “Sienna is amazing, she’s a brave little girl and she’s been in and out of hospital for months on end.

“It’s very difficult for Darren and Emma and for the other children. It’s important to do what we can and lots of people have been helping.”

The song is available to download on Facebook for 99 cents, equivalent to about 62p, from facebook.com/avriorecords.

Donations can be made to Sienna’s appeal fund at gofundme.com/3j2cg4.
