More than 150 people walked through town in their onesies to raise vital cash for a disabled children’s charity.

Kangaroos, penguins, rabbits and zebras took on the route through Witham in aid of Brainwave, who help disabled children with mobility and independence.

A fun afternoon at the centre, including a display by the Twirlettes majorettes and songs from Jonny Mack, rounded off the fundraising, which has already reached £400.

Community manager for Brainwave Gerry Gould said the day was a huge success.

She said: "Brainwave does not receive any additional funding, so without the support of all those people who helped out and attended, we would not be able to continue offering the therapy for the children we see."

Brainwave offers educational and physical therapy to children with disabilities to help them reach their full potential.

The charity also works with parents of disabled children to show them how to use exercise therapy in their own homes.
