Finchingfield's oldest resident was given the honour of reopening the village post office.
Flo Hardy, 102, was taken to the Bardfield Road branch in a vintage Rolls-Royce to cut the ribbon.
Son Neil Hardy said: “She was very pleased, she was very honoured to be asked.”
The shop has been doubled in size and sells fresh local produce, and the post office section has also been refurbished.
