A Polish man who collapsed in a Witham road died as a result of an accident, a coroner has recorded.
Pawel Kwiecinski, who is believed to have lived in Greenwell Road, Witham, died on Sunday, June 1, after he was found lying in Bronte Road at about 3am.
Residents and ambulance crews tried in vain to resuscitate the 39-year-old, who worked as a window manufacturer at Masterframe Windows, based in Crittall Road, Witham.
An inquest into his death was opened at Chelmsford Coroners Court last Friday and coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray said that Mr Kwiecinski died as a result of an accident.
She recorded his cause of death as a morphine overdose.
