Residents are pleading for action to repair drains after torrential downpour flooded a Witham road.
Heavy rain caused Avenue Road to be impassible on Friday with cars left stranded, which was caused by insufficient drainage systems, it is believed.
Residents living nearby believe that if the problem is not fixed soon, rain water will soon stream into people’s homes.
Care worker Pamela Hooper, 55, who works at Churchfields Care Home in Avenue Road, photographed the flooded road and said it occurred every time there was a downpour.
