Community groups hope people will appreciate their subway artwork, despite a thief stealing one of the panels before they were unveiled.

They decorated 40 boards to brighten up the A120 underpass at Galleys Corner, Braintree.

But one board was already missing by the time they were unveiled on Monday.

The Braintree East - Pride in our Patch community group started the project in 2010.
