A wife who set a up a charity in memory of her husband has raised more than £200,000 to help others.
Helen Morement, of Little Bardfield, launched the The Alan Morement Memorial Fund (AMMF) to begin research into the rare liver cancer which her husband Alan died of just over 10 years ago.
Along with the other trustees she plans to sponsor a research fellow at Imperial College to continue progress towards finding a cure for the disease, cholangiocarcinoma, which has no specific treatment.
When Mr Morement was first diagnosed with the cancer, which affects 1,500 people per year, there was little information available and the family wanted to raise awareness.
