Essex: Hospital recruiting mealtime volunteers to help patients

Volunteers are being recruited to help hospital patients during mealtimes.

Mid Essex Hospitals Trust, which runs Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, said its Mealtime Mission will help ensure they have enough to eat and drink.

Volunteers will help ward staff by offering extra support and companionship to patients who need it.

There is an open day tomorrow from 10am to 3pm in the concourse of the Medical Academic Unit at Broomfield Hospital.

Alternatively, call Angela Wade or Jonathan Wright on 01245 514577 or e-mail jonathan.wright@meht.nhs.uk
