Coggeshall aims to become the focal point of English wine tourism as the region’s first wine and visitor education centre prepares to open.

Stephen and Jane Mohan, who own West Street Vineyard, aim to recreate the New World experience, where destination vineyards are part of family life.

Inspired by the village’s medieval Grange Barn, the eco-friendly timber building was pre-fabricated in Bavaria and assembled in just five days by German company Hanse Haus.

The visitor centre - which opens next spring - will celebrate English wines, from Yorkshire down to Cornwall and East Anglia, and will have nearly 20 available to try.
