Knitters are needed to help cheer up people who are ill.

Braintree Volunteer Centre is looking for people to make glove puppets for patients at Broomfield Hospital and Farleigh Hospice.

The knit and natter event, to mark Make a Difference Day, is on November 1 at the United Reformed Church in Newland Street, Witham, from 10am to 12noon.
