POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car failed to stop following a crash on the A12.

The accident happened at around 7.50am on Monday after a silver Vauxhall Corsa, a red Ford Mondeo and a red Audi RS5 Quattro were in collision near junction 22 for Witham.

The driver of the Vauxhall, a 45-year-old woman, was taken to Broomfield Hospital.

She suffered minor whiplash to her ribs and back.

It is believed a black saloon, similar to a Ford Mondeo was also involved, but failed to stop.
