Fifty jobs could be created if a supermarket’s second effort at extending is given the go ahead.
Morrisons wants to extend its store in Braintree Road, Witham.
Its first planning application was rejected in March this year because Braintree Council was worried it would impact on the rest of the town centre, diverting trade from Tesco, and prejudicing investment in the Newlands Shopping Precinct, which it said was a better location for a supermarket.
Morrisons is now holding a public consultation tomorrow and Saturday for its latest proposals.
