Braintree: Volunteers needed to help bereaved
10:00am Monday 15th October 2012 in News
Volunteers are needed for a new project to support bereaved people.
Greenfields Community Housing, which runs ex-council housing stock in Braintree and Witham, has paid £7,563 towards the scheme.
It is working in partnership with Farleigh and St Helena’s hospices to support all local people who have lost a loved one.
Anyone who want to volunteer to be trained to provide bereavement support can find out more this Wednesday from 10am to 1pm at Greenfields House, Charter Way, Braintree.
Up to 20 volunteers will be recruited to support people, often on a weekly basis.
They will need good listening skills, be able to maintain boundaries and attend regular training and supervision.
