Braintree: Father writes to PM about "out of service" bus
A father is so fed up with an out of service bus driving past his son everyday he has written to the Prime Minister for help.
Colin Bennett, 65, of Grove Villas, Great Saling, has been waiting since last December for the number nine and 16 services to pick people up in the village rather than just driving through.
His 16-year-old son Chege currently has to cycle four miles to Great Bardfield, where the bus comes in to service, or ride the seven miles to Braintree College.
Chege, who is still recovering from renal failure suffers dizzy spells, and his family are worried about the journey as the clocks change and the weather worsens.
Mr Bennett said: “It annoys me everytime I see the bus saying out of service."
