Tributes have been paid to a much-loved former carnival queen who died suddenly.
Barbara McIntyre, who was crowned queen in 1971 at the age of 17, had returned from a holiday in Canada days earlier and was getting ready for work when she collapsed at home last Tuesday.
The 57-year-old, who was a receptionist at Blandford Medical Centre for the past three years, died the following day.
Blandford Medical Centre plans to operate an emergency only service between the hours of 1pm and 4pm for her funeral on October 19 as a mark of respect.
