A mum has thanked a quick thinking neighbour who came to her son’s aid after he fell off a skate ramp.

Julie Theobald tended to 11-year-old William Pryke for more than 50 minutes after she found him lying in the middle of Currants Farm Road, Braintree.

He was taken to Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, by land ambulance where he received treatment including dentistry work.

Mum Kerry Pryke said he spent three hours at hospital on Thursday afternoon but returned to school on Monday.
