The scariest event of the year will soon be upon us, and budding actors will be taking part in terrifying the afraid masses.

Cursed, which is billed as Essex’s number one Halloween event, is coming to Cressing Temple later this month.

As in previous years, the organisers have been on the hunt for a legion of Scare Makers to take part in the four-day event.

This year’s Cursed promises to be bigger and more frightening than ever, with the daunting addition of the longest claustrophobia maze in the UK for those brave enough to enter it.

Cursed takes place at Cressing Temple, in Witham Road, Braintree, on October 26, 27, 30 and 31.

Walks take place between 6.30pm and 10pm, starting every 15 minutes, with tickets costing between £13.95 and £15.95.

To book tickets, call 0845 603 7624.
