A dynamic loop - a longer double track line between White Notley and Witham - could cost £18.4million, compared to the early estimate of £46.8million.

Braintree Council said the socio-economic study by consultants Mott MacDonald showed that every £1 invested in the project would reap a return of more than £2.50.
