Olly Murs set for Lakeside signing

OLLY Murs is set to cause a stir at Lakeside Shopping Centre on Thursday (October 11) when he drops by to sign copies of his new autobiography.

Happy Days is the story of how the cheeky chap from Essex rose to fame on the X Factor and his life since.

The singer came second on the X Factor, then saw his first album go double-platinum. His music career is still going strong, but now he mixes in some TV work, presenting ITV2’s the Xtra Factor alongside Caroline Flack.

He said: “My life has been a non-stop roller-coaster of extreme emotions, crazy days, unexpected highs and yet my life hasn't been without its low points too. I’ve tried to imagine myself sitting down with you explaining what I was thinking and feeling during those times.

“I hope this book will give you a behind-the-scenes view of my journey into a place where I finally found what had been missing in my life for all those years – music.”

The signing has been organised by WH Smith and will take place in the shopping centre’s central atrium from 5pm.

The signing is open to fans with a wristband, which will be on sale at Lakeside’s WH Smith store on Saturday, October 6, at 7am.

Fans will get the book on the day of the event when showing a valid receipt and wristband.
