Braintree: Would new store compete with town supermarkets?

The Panfield Lane growth location
Worries have been raised a supermarket on a new estate could compete with others in Braintree.
Braintree Council has earmarked land off Panfield Lane as a growth location.
Councillors on the local development framework panel have agreed to limit the size of the supermarket to a maximum of 1,250 square metres sales area.
It would be slightly smaller than Morrisons in Rayne Road.
But some residents and councillors have said it is too large.
