Rylan makes it to X-Factor finals
9:00pm Sunday 30th September 2012 in News
Rylan with Nicole Scherzinger
SOUTH Essex' Rylan Clark has made it through to the final 12 of the X-Factor, it was revealed tonight.
Millions tonight saw Rylan, 23, of Stanford-le-Hope, win his place in the live finals.
The party-loving clubber has promised to "bring the X to the X Factor" and wants to record dancefloor anthems.
Rylan has been very impressed with his mentor Nicole Scherzinger who he described as "amazing".
He said: "She's the most stunning woman I've ever met in my life. I even questioned my sexuality when I met her. She's so amazing and we're so on the same level idea wise it's unreal, she's such an asset to me and I hold her very dear."
If he wins he will celebrate in low-key style - with a milky coffee - after he stopped drinking them when he was told they were bad for his throat.

Why does he dress in womens clothes?
But I'm glad they didn't let him walk down Khalid Bin Al Waleed Road dressed like that. He'd have been arrested for sure, beaten to a pulp by the local police, hauled before a judge and given six months hard labour before his family were forced to pay a large ransom to ease his deportation and repatriation to the UK.
Thank God for liberal democracy based on Christian values :)

Just because you finish or start an insult with "I'm not homophobic but" doesn't mean your comment isn't both offensive and homophobic.
Get a grip guys, if you don't like the show, don't watch. I for one think he's a tad dramatic, but funny and entertaining to watch, and best of all, I like his voice.

Gay people should be judged just like anyone else - on the type of personality they are and shouldn't be expected to confirm to ridiculous stereotypes - seems like you're the one enforcing social discrimination now!
I am sick of people putting others down because they don't fit in with what's regarded as normal. Some of you should go on a diversity awareness course NOW! So that said, the guy is an absolute joke and drama queen, and there was no need for all that blubbing. One of those desperate people that wants to be famous for the sake of being famous. Can't sing very well and is an embarrassment to Essex!

However the issue here is he is clearly not overly talented, and the X factor is meant to be a Talent show, however IMO they have chosen to put him through based on tackie entertainment value, and its sad how it seems to be the stereotypical way in which if you Gay and from Essex you somehow need to conform to this ridiculous act and you will get somewhere (just look at TOWIE!!)
For me its made a mockery of what the X factor is about.

Even Nicole looked rather disturbed by his reaction.
I hope he gets booted out on the first live show.

Personally, whatever the narrow-minded and unloyal Essex readers on this website think, I'm sure that nationally he'll be popular in the weekly votes.

For me its not about knocking him for trying, fair play to him for that, its about knocking the show / judges for not sticking to the true reason that the show is there in the first place, and that is singing TALENT.
By putting him through they overlooked people who had better singing voices by far and deserved to go through based on the fact its a singing contest, yes this guy will get people talking and laughing and will entertain however for me, and it appears most of the people i have spoken to or seen status updates etc on facebook it will be more about his act rather than his singing.
Its a waste of a space in the live shows and has taken the chance away from someone more deserving

Only the British would knock someone for trying to be successful, it wouldn't happen in America, people would get behind him and want him to win "the dream". But unfortunately here, people criticise others who they've never met and perceive to be different from themselves. I'm ashamed! I will admit he isn't my cup of tea and that these type of shows are simply a modern version of a freak show but come on guys he is who he is and at least he has drive.
lets face it they have a jedward, chico, whoever that guy was last year ( cant remember his name) every year. It creates 'entertainment' and certainly gets people talking about the show. I'm not saying I agree with it, as most people have pointed out the show should be about talent, and I agree he is lacking in that compared with some who were rejected from the show. But none the less he got through and love him or hate him he deserves a little respect as a human being!
I'm a little taken aback at the judgments people make over others without actually knowing anything about that person bar what they have been fed via a media show.
As others have said, don't like it don't watch it! how does him being on tv show affect your life in any way? The only way these types of programs might change their tac is if people turn over!

I think the fact that he cant sing at all is what bugs people most and as for stereotyping people i think your having a laugh. Its us people from Essex that are stereotyped because of people like TOWIE and Rylan Clarke, You know the type that are talentless and would do anything to get on tele.I went on holiday to Turkey this year and spent most of my days telling people that weren't from Essex that really we are nothing like TOWIE at all. Who's been steroetyped then ?

There is so much devastation and sad news these days, does it really hurt to watch someone who doesn't take life too seriously, I for one am proud to say heUBS one of ours, and look at how he loves life and cherishes these moments and most of all doesn't waste his life away judging others!!!
