A Witham mum met the prime minister after being picked out of 300 Essex Ambassadors who volunteered in the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Tina Weavers, 58, said she was “completely and utterly speechless” when she discovered she was going to have tea at Number 10 Downing Street.

The mum-of-two, of Mortimer Way, who was stationed in Stansted during the Games, was nominated by her fellow Essex Ambassadors to attend the special tea party.
