An academy is leading the way in teaching schoolchildren to get their finances in order.
Children as young as 12 at Maltings Academy, in Spinks Lane, Witham, have taken a GCSE course in finance - three years early.
The Year Eight pupils learnt about money management, investments, inheritance, wills, tax and banking, and seven achieved A* grades.
The course is part of the academy’s extended enterprise learning curriculum.
