A war memorial in Witham is set to be looked after by its town council.

Two assets in the town, which are owned by Braintree Council, will be passed to Witham Town Council following an agreement this week.

Cabinet members voted to transfer the management of the war memorial gardens, in Newland Street, and land adjacent to Asda, off Highfields Road, to the town council in response to the Localism Act.
