Braintree district: Winners of community awards announced

Braintree district:
A youth who turned his life around and a man who cooks weekly fry-ups for his neighbours were among the winners of an annual award ceremony that celebrates community superstars.
The Community Spirit Awards, held by Greenfields Community Housing, applaud the hard work and effort that local people in the district have put into improving their communities and helping others.
Brogan Dearing, of the Templars Estate, in Witham, won the Young Achiever award for the help he has given to Greenfields and the Tenants’ and Residents’ Association.
