Unprecedented demand at a beer festival meant organisers had to call for extra supplies.

The fourth annual beer festival at the Grange Barn in Coggeshall took place from Thursday until Sunday.

National Trust ranger Stuart Banks, who organised the festival, said: “It was a really good weekend and we sold a record amount of beers.

“We sold 33 cases in total, which is about 2,400 pints. We got so busy we ran out of beer on Saturday night, which was unprecedented, and luckily we managed to restock on Sunday morning.”

A total of 1,400 people are estimated to have attended the festival over the four days.
