Braintree: Horse riding venue to appeal ban on amateur meetings
The owner of an equestrian venue will appeal against a decision to refuse permission to hold amateur meetings at the site.
Sharon Peters wants to host amateur horse riding meetings at the Oast House, Codham Little Park, in Beazley End.
Riders are desperate for a venue in the Braintree area to replace the Towerlands Centre, but Braintree Council has refused a planning application for a second time.
Use of the existing equestrian facility is currently restricted to personal use only, and cannot be used for competition.
