Maldon: Two teenagers killed in road crash

TWO teenagers have been killed after a road crash.

The accident happened at 9.35am this morning in Lower Burnham Road when a blue Yamaha motorbike collided with a green and yellow tractor.

The two people on the motorbike, a man believed to be aged 18 and a girl believed to be aged 17, both from the local area were pronounced dead at the scene.

One man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death whule uninsured.

Lower Burnham remains closed at this time.

Any witnesses are asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101.
