Witham: The two sides of youth unemployment

Following on from our recent article about Witham having the fast rising rates of youth unemployment, this week we speak to an unemployed teenager desperate for a job, and an employer who cannot find anyone to fill his vacancies.
Liam Lizzimore, 16, has applied for 50 jobs and apprenticeships since February and is looking for an apprenticeship as a mechanic or construction.
Meanwhile, Peter Sims, managing director of construction firm Simcott in Newland Street, Witham, is looking for two apprentices - but cannot find anyone to fill them.
