Problems with cars blocking roads in a housing estate could finally be resolved after residents were promised a consultation.

The Moat Farm Estate is commonly used by rail commuters who park there before getting on a train at nearby Witham station.

Residents have complained that cars have blocked driveways and blocked access for emergency services and refuse vehicles.

Now Essex County Council has promised residents a six-week consultation period to give their views ahead of the proposed scheme.
