Braintree district: Councils sign 15-year deal to share office space

Two councils are sharing an office to save money.
Essex County Council (ECC) staff from Tabor House and Crossman House in Braintree have moved into Braintree Council ’s headquarters at Causeway House in Bocking End.
County Hall will pay Braintree Council £300,000 a year for 15 years - or £4.5million in total - to lease the second floor and share the ground floor reception and car park.
Almost 200 ECC staff now share office space with about 270 Braintree Council workers.
Another 50 from Tekhnicon House in Springwood Drive are due to move over by March next year
