Braintree district: Exclusive discounts in this week's Times
Thousands of shoppers could be taking advantage of discounts and offers in a scheme designed to boost town centre trade.
On Friday Braintree Council , in partnership with The Times, will hand out 5,000 Indi cards at the launch event this Friday.
Each week The Times will print exclusive offers to be used with the card at local retailers and businesses.
Twenty four businesses have so far signed up to the scheme and it is hope between 100 and 200 could be taking part by Christmas.
Councillor Chris Siddall, cabinet member for prosperity and growth said: “Over the next 12 months more and more offers will be available as businesses come on board.
