Witham: Country house on show for prospective couples

An historic country house is opening its gates to prospective couples of showcase its wedding venue.
Braxted Park plays host to more than 100 weddings each year, catering for parties of anywhere between 60 and 300 guests.
Set in 500 acres of parkland, the unique grounds will be open to the public between 10.30am and 4.30pm on Sunday.
Braxted Park owner Duncan Clark said: “We are right in the middle of our prime wedding season, so this is the perfect time of year for couples to visit the estate and see first-hand the beautiful venue and stunning grounds.
“This part of Essex is most definitely in demand for weddings, with the number we host is growing year on year."
